Parent and Family Events
Parent Discussion Nights
Learning is a process of growing into a successful community member; therefore it is essential in our program to incorporate our community. Growing Seeds offers evening discussion nights for parent education to our families and the families in the surrounding community. These events build relationships and develop partnerships between you, the teachers, and the children. Parent Discussion Nights are normally scheduled on the 4th Friday of most months from 6:30-8:00. Childcare is available for a nominal fee
We also provide families with other resources for their child's growth (such as book recommendations, resource listings, and conferences with teachers) encouraging every parent to be a partner in his or her child's education. This helps to make our community stronger and a better place to live.
Parent Advisory Committee
The PAC meets for lunch 12:00-1:00 the 3rd Tuesday of each month at The Chapel of the Chimes (McMenamin's "Chapel Pub") to plan Family Events, School fundraisers, and Teacher Appreciation. It is open invitation and can be joined without RSVP.
Classroom Parent
Classroom Parents assist teachers in planning and carrying out potlucks, maintain a classroom contact sheet, help organize teacher appreciation events, and more depending on their availability. If you are interested in being a classroom parent, please notify your Coordinator.
Family Events
Growing Seeds has a number of family events scheduled throughout the year. We encourage you to attend as many of these events as you can, and to volunteer if you are able. Some of these events are: the Lantern Walk, Art Show and Auction, the Growing Seeds Gala, Growing Seeds Summer Camping, work parties.
